2GKmeanAlgo
Synergistic->1->GKDirec v1.7.0 2001/11/09

This plugin divides the source photo image into smallest areas. The result is shown as "green segmented image " in a new window and a file:"map" is created. This plugin uses the texture source image:"Red rod image" created by a previous plugin.
A file:"map" that has the results of this process is created in the directory where gimp is started.
* If you save green segmented image with map in the same directory, you can start SIC process again later. Tiff file or something with lossless compression is appropriate. In these documents, segmented.tiff as green segmented image is used.

Target files and the way to apply
L*a*b* image with Red rod image

On the target image, click a mouse and select this plugin. Then, the parameter window will appear.
History of processes
plug_in_gk_mean_algo-p1-p2-p3-p4-p5-p6-p7-p8-p9-p10
Name of Red rod image is not recorded.
Parameter
Source1[Red rod image]: Select Red rod image created by 1GKDirec

p1[1 Segment Number](mode): Type of initial segment number for segmentation
[1 Segment Number]=0 Fixed Initial Value -> use a value of P10 for every parts.
[1 Segment Number]=1 Adaptive Initial Value -> select P10-1, P10 or P10+1 adaptively for an initial value. This condition works only when P10 >= 3.

p2[2 Weight L*](L), p3[3 Weight a*](a), p4[4 Weight b*](b): the ratio of weights of L* : a* : b*
[2 Weight L* ]=integer -> Weight of L* increases in proportion to this value.
[3 Weight a* ]=integer -> Weight of a* increases in proportion to this value.
[4 Weight b* ]=integer -> Weight of b* increases in proportion to this value.
*This plugin will be executed at a rate proportional to these three values.

p5[5 Weighting function for color](MM): the ratio of Weight of color to length.
[5 Weighting function for color]=integer ->Weight of color increases in inverse proportion to this value.
*When p5 becomes small, a noise increases and contours of segments become not clear.

p6[6 K1](K1): the weight of texture. This value is always0 .
[6 K1] =integer -> Weight of texture increases in proportion to this value.
*This function is removed temporally.

p7[7 Threshold](thresh): When a color difference becomes smaller than this value, this process stops.
[7 threshold]=integer ->The number of segments decrease in inverse proportion to this value.
* When this value is big, process finishes for short time but fidelity decreases.

p8[8 DirectionX](Dx), p9[9 DirectionY](Dy): a length and a width of area where this process executes at a time.
[8 DirectionX]=integer -> Length becomes large in inverse proportion to this value.
[9 DirectionY]=integer -> Width becomes large in inverse proportion to this value.
* When these value large, process time becomes long and a difference of area between segments becomes large.

p10[10 Divided Segments Number](divide): An initial number of segments set in the area decided above parameters: p8 and p9.
[10 Divided Segments Number]=integer -> A number of segments increase in proportion to this value
* When 1 Segment Number=1, this value must be greater than or equal to 3.
